A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a post from NUFC 360, which has relayed news from the Daily Express concerning Callum Wilson.
It is claimed that Toon manager Steve Bruce sees the Bournemouth striker as an option for this summer, and he could leave the Cherries for £20m if they are relegated on the final day of the Premier League season.
Wilson is 28 and has scored eight goals in the Premier League this season for a struggling Bournemouth side, but these Toon fans are unconvinced by the England international.
Another sicknote

He is exactly the type of transfer Newcastle will go for. Mediocre player who’s been relegated, Charnleys eyes will be lighting up!

Terrible fitness record , has already done his acl . Absolute gamble .

Wilson has scored more goals in the top-flight this season than the Toon’s centre forwards have combined, so on that evidence, he would be an upgrade on what they currently have.
Would you be happy with Callum Wilson with or without the takeover?
Yes, good striker
No, we could do better
Newcastle are in the middle of a proposed takeover by Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed consortium, but one Toon fan would have Wilson with or without a takeover and others were just praising Wilson.
Would get 10-15 goals for us imo

With or without takeover, I’d have him

A reasonable and feasible link if Ashley remains as owner. Good player.

In 125 Premier League appearances Wilson has scored 41 goals, he has had two horror injuries that ruled him out for 25 games and 30 games, respectively, but he could be an improvement on what the Toon already have.
The transfer window is fast approaching, and Bruce claims that he has some players lined up, could Wilson be one of them?
It remains to be seen what happens with the Cherries and Wilson as a lot could come down to Bournemouth’s fight against the drop.
However, if they go down, then Wilson could be up for grabs, so the Toon might be interested to see how Bournemouth get on.
