Many Newcastle United supporters have been responding to the club’s Twitter post in which they shared some footage of an interview with Nabil Bentaleb.
The central midfield player, who is currently on loan at St. James’ Park from Bundesliga club Schalke, has been speaking from the training ground and stressed the importance of Steve Bruce’s side finishing the season on a high.
The 25-year-old, who is valued at £3.6 million (per Transfermarkt), arrived in the North East back in January and has made nine appearances in the Premier League so far. Here is how a sample of the club’s supporters have responded to the clip of the Algerian international on the social media platform.

It’s clear from the above responses that these Newcastle fans haven’t been impressed by what they have seen from Bentaleb since he signed for the club. The Magpies have an option to buy the player at the end of his loan spell, but according to a report from Sport Bild (via Transfermarkt.co.uk), they are unlikely to exercise that right in the summer.
Goodbye!

Are you against the idea of the club signing Bentaleb permanently?
Yes
No
During Bentaleb’s nine Premier League appearances for the Magpies to date, he has averaged a performance rating of 6.43/10, with 18 of his teammates possessing a higher average. Therefore, you can understand why these fans are opposed to the idea of Newcastle United signing the player on a permanent deal.
