A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from NUFC 360, which has included a report from the Daily Mail on the proposed takeover of Newcastle United.
The report is mainly about Richard Masters and his interview that he had with the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee on Tuesday.
However, the piece also mentions that Mohammed bin Salman is not directly involved in the takeover and is therefore not subject to the Premier League’s checks.
This has drawn the attention of these Toon fans who are happy about this.
Does this make any difference for you?
No
Yes
If he’s not subject to the checks and it’s just piracy, I’m pretty sure you can all keep them cans nice cool and ready.

He owns PIF so he’ll have people running the club using his money probably is a good thing he’s not a director

The deal for Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed consortium to buy Newcastle from Mike Ashley has been agreed with Ashley since April, and a deposit was paid to him.
However, since then, nothing has happened, but Masters did confirm that he would like a conclusion to this “shortly“.
However, this information that Bin Salman would not be involved in the Premier League’s checks was initially suggested in May as sources claimed that what he has done would have no bearing on the takeover.
So, these Toon fans don’t think any of this is new information.
Been saying this from the start lol
O&D test will be Mandy, Reubens and the PIF Chairman

This was known the entire time. The owners are the PIF. The chairman of the club will be Yasir Al-Rumayyan with the day to day run by Staveley and Reuben.

That’s obvious.

Don’t we already know this?

It had been hoped last week that the Premier League would come to a decision on the takeover of Newcastle after Saudi Arabia announced a crackdown on piracy.
Also, the UK government had apparently swayed the Premier League into accepting the deal.
However, nothing happened, and this has now rumbled on into another week that has seen the Toon’s players and Steve Bruce ask for clarity on the takeover.
Luke Edwards believes that this is now damaging Newcastle, and hopefully, Masters follows through on his word and the Premier League do reach a decision shortly.
