Speaking recently on The Athletic’s Gwlad Tidings podcast, Greg O’Keeffe suggested that Moise Kean could be due a start for Everton.

Since moving to Everton from Juventus in a £24.75 million deal last summer, it would be a fair assessment to make that the 20-year-old Italian has not exactly set the Premier League alight.

To start this quiz on Richarlison with an easy one, how much did the Toffees pay to secure the Brazilian's services including potential future fees?

So far this term, Kean has made 25 Premier League appearances – with only five of those being starts – scoring just one goal and providing two assists, averaging a disappointing WhoScored match rating of 6.28.

However, despite these poor individual statistics, while speaking on the Gwlad Tidings podcast, Greg O’Keeffe stated that he thinks it could be time to give the striker a run in the side.

He said: “Moise Kean is an interesting one. I’d have thought that it’s time to give him a start and give him an hour or so of a game to really show what an injection of fresh legs and his pace and directness can do. So maybe we’ll see some interesting selections on Thursday evening.”

TIF Thoughts…

Despite his obviously poor season, Kean is by no means a bad player.

Throughout his short career thus far, the 20-year old has managed to score eight goals in 21 appearances for Juventus, and four goals in 20 fixtures while on loan at Hellas Verona – in addition to two goals in three games for the Italian national side.

Will Moise Kean ever come good for the Toffees or should he be sold?

He'll come good, just needs time

Should be sold, not good enough

So, as O’Keeffe says, maybe it is indeed time for Carlo Ancelotti to give the £22.5 million-rated Kean a run in the side, as the player is obviously capable of having a real impact on matches, even if he hasn’t quite shown it at Everton just yet.
