The Athletic’s Tim Spiers has been discussing Wolverhampton Wanderers’ second-leg clash in the Europa League against Olympiacos.

Prior to the suspension of the European competitions, the Old Gold played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their last-16 clash with Olympiacos in Greece (per BBC).

After the second leg at Molineux was then postponed, a location has not been set for the rescheduled clash which is due to take place on 5th or 6th August (per UEFA).

So, in the latest episode of The Athletic’s The Molineux View podcast, Spiers aired his belief that the fixture will be held at Molineux.

“So that is the quarter-finals, the semi-finals and the final. The path to the final will be announced on Friday – very exciting.

“Although Wolves, of course, have to get past Olympiacos first, we know that. Another thing to point out, we should know very soon whether that second-leg is going to be at Molineux.

“I’m almost certain [that] it will be now. You can go to Greece and come back [with] no quarantine issues, that’s fine.”

Judging from what Spiers had to say, it seems a decision will be announced soon over where the fixture will be held and he strongly believes that it will be at Molineux.
