Some Celtic fans have been talking about the latest ticket update that got recently released on social media.
Hoops ticketing page Celtic FC SLO recently posted this update on Twitter. The post said that all the fans who are part of the original club-administered four-instalment scheme will have their first payment collected by the club at the end of this month.
This caught the attention of many Celtic fans. They questioned what they would in fact be paying for, with the Premiership season cancelled and uncertainty remaining over the start of the following campaign.
I am on it, but I do think the club needs to provide clarity in the event of what happens with closed door games. I didn’t ask for a refund for last season, but neither can we be expected to pay indefinitely for games we can’t see.

Do you think Celtic fans will get their full refunds?
No chance
I think we will
That’s what every fan wants to know . What are the fans paying for ?

Yet another who didn’t need the refund but there needs to be clarity surely before we put more cash in.

One fan was confused about what the post meant, as they claimed to be close to paying their fourth instalment rather than their first one.
1st payment? June will be my 4rth and final. Not sure what’s going on

Many more Celtic fans rushed to this post to know why the club is asking for the payment if the games won’t resume with supporters next season.
Sorry but a fairly simple question. What exactly are you asking supporters to contract for?

The club is currently asking for payment for a service they knowingly can’t provide. Whilst accepting the situation is largely out of the clubs hands I find it poor to be advising of payment dates whilst giving no info whatsoever as to what we are buying.

All the Celtic fans seem very concerned about where their money will go if the club take payments from supporters, with matches in front of a crowd appearing to be quite some way away. Celtic blog CeltsAreHere recently ran an article on their website about the potential refunding of season tickets. They said that the club hasn’t been fully repaying the club’s season ticket holders who asked for a refund, while the club is only returning a percentage of the amount owed due to the campaign’s early cancellation, but that the refunding process remains unclear.
This shows that the situation surrounding the ticket schemes at Parkhead looks to be suffering from a lack of clear communication. With the game having been impacted by the pandemic, businesses and people are bound to suffer to some extent. Celtic fans can only be hopeful that their money will either be returned or that it will be put to good use.
