Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest transfer news involving Moussa Dembele that recently emerged on social media.
Journalist Duncan Castles recently tweeted some transfer news about Dembele, saying that the Frenchman is not interested in leaving Lyon to join former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City. The post also had a link to the podcast where he was talking about this piece of news.
Castles’ tweet caught the attention of many Celtic fans. They flocked to it and made their anger towards Rodgers very clear.
Can’t stand Brendan

Rodgers was the manager at Parkhead for a little less than three seasons and stayed at the club from the summer of 2016 till the February of 2019. He left to join Leicester City in the February of 2019 (via Transfermarkt).
As a Celtic manager, Rodgers won a total of seven trophies. This included two Premiership titles and as many Scottish Cup titles as well (via Transfermarkt).
Despite Rodgers winning so many titles at Parkhead, many other Celtic fans seemed pleased that Dembele doesn’t want to re-join him at the King Power Stadium.
@MDembele_10 What are the odds of you and Mr Rodgers working together again? Give us a response for a laugh ?

It seems clear that Celtic fans are still unhappy with the nature of Rodgers’ departure from the club. Given he was well on his way to delivering a third successive treble at Parkhead, you could argue that there will have been little reason to leave at the time of his exit in February 2019.
Dembele had played under Rodgers at Celtic Park, as he had stayed at the club from 2016 to 2018. During that time, the striker was a reliable goalscorer for the Hoops, as he contributed to 69 goals in 94 appearances. So clearly, Rodgers knows how to bring the best out of Dembele.
While it may not be pleasing for Celtic fans, in our view, Dembele joining Rodgers at Leicester could have been a very good move for the Frenchman.
