We will look at Marcelo Bielsa to kick off this quiz on the Championship's managers, which of these national teams has the Leeds United boss managed?

On the subject of the Baggies’ on-loan winger, and whether or not this break away from football will have been used as an opportunity for the club to work on a permanent deal for Diangana, Madeley shared his thoughts.

He said: “I always felt that the chances of a permanent deal for him were pretty slim. He’s obviously highly rated at West Ham, he’s young, he’s England-qualified, he qualifies as homegrown. I just think the fee for a permanent deal there would just be too much. I think West Brom’s best hope with him would be if West Ham stay up and strengthen themselves in that area, then maybe West Brom might look at another season-long loan for Diangana.

“I think not a lot has changed over this period other than West Brom, like all clubs, will be having a really close eye on the finances and they’re not going to be as healthy as they were three months ago. They’re still, even after this turmoil, in a healthier position than most.”

Diangana signed to the Baggies on a season-long loan from West Ham back in August 2019 (per Transfermarkt).

In 21 Championship appearances for West Brom this season, Diangana has managed to score five goals and provide six assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

The 22-year-old’s performances in those appearances in the Championship have earned Diangana a season rating of 7.15/10, making him West Brom’s fourth-highest rated player for this campaign (per WhoScored).

TIF Thoughts…

Given how impressive Diangana has been for the Baggies this season, it would be understandable why the club would want to try and keep him on a permanent basis.

However, according to Madeley, it appears that financial difficulties could scupper this potential deal.
