Many Celtic fans have been fuming at a post involving Tom English that caught their attention on Twitter.

Hoops-related page Celtic Gossip recently posted about English, calling the journalist a ‘broken record’ and that he has ‘biased views’ against the Parkhead side. The tweet follows a recent appearance on the BBC Sportsound podcast recently with the post displaying clear unhappiness with what English had said.

During his appearance on his podcast, English had talked about Celtic’s financial situation and how they could be forced to sell players because of the pandemic. The journalist said this could hurt Celtic ‘big-time’, that their reserves were ‘under threat’ and the pandemic could undo the work that they’ve done over the last few months.

Starting with an easy one- apart from Paris Saint-Germain, which other French club did Edouard play for?

But the tweet from Celtic Gossip caught the attention of many other Celtic fans too. They flocked to it and made their anger for the BBC journalist very clear.

Do you think Tom English is anti-Celtic?

He hates us

No, he's doing his job!

On the podcast, English also said that the Hoops could be ‘vulnerable’ to losing the likes of Odsonne Edouard, Ryan Christie and Callum McGregor. With perhaps all of this in mind, some other Hoops were also fuming at English for his comments on the podcast.

Clearly, Celtic fans aren’t happy with the comments that English made about the Hoops. He is talking about the club potentially losing some of their best players and how they could be in a delicate financial situation and these comments haven’t gone down well with the Bhoys fans.

English had previously supported Rangers’ call for an independent investigation into the running of the SPFL. So since the journalist seemed to have taken Rangers’ side in that situation, Celtic fans do seem to think that he is against them. So it is no surprise that the club’s fans aren’t pleased with him.
