Celtic have announced that they have passed the £50,000 donation from James Anderson to the Celtic FC Foundation taking their total fund to £500,000 (via celticfc.net).
The club had already committed to making £450,000 worth of donations in order to help those most impacted by the health crisis prior to Anderson’s donation, but with the additional funds it means they are now able to increase the support they provide to those in need.
Here’s how some of the club’s supporters have responded when the announcement was relayed via Twitter.
Charitable as always, well done for yet again being selfless, not selfish, like other clubs.

Are you happy with the offer of a virtual season ticket?
Yes
No
The Scottish Premiership season was cancelled in May following its suspension due to the global pandemic and the Hoops were crowned champions for the ninth consecutive time (as per the BBC).
Although the fans weren’t able to see their team clinch the trophy on the pitch in the end, the Celts being named champions again will have no doubt put a smile on many of their faces.
However, some took this opportunity to voice their displeasure at the way the season ticket situation has been dealt with.
Brilliant now do something for the ST holders ??

Covered by charging fans £8 for a face mask. Hahahahahaha.

Fans have been given the deadline of June 30th to renew their season tickets and there has been much debate amongst the fans in regards to whether or not they are happy with the virtual solutions they’re being offered due to the fact they may still not be allowed to attend games by the time the 2020/21 campaign starts.
