The Athletic reporter Roshane Thomas has recently slated West Ham United’s Brazilian attacker Felipe Anderson.

During the Hammers’ most recent Premier League clash, the 2-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur, the 27-year-old winger featured for just 19 minutes (per Transfermarkt).

For his cameo appearance in the clash with Jose Mourinho’s outfit, Anderson was awarded a 4/10 performance rating as he had ‘very little impact’ (per Football.london).

So, in the latest episode of The Athletic’s U Irons Podcast, Thomas discussed the Brazilian’s recent performances and slated him.

To start this quiz on Mark Noble with a tough one, in what year did the midfielder make his league debut for the Hammers?

He said: “He annoyed me in the game on Saturday against Wolves where he was anonymous during his time on the field. So, it was correct for [David] Moyes to drop him.

“When he was brought on, apart from one shot, he didn’t contribute much. He’s scored one goal all season.

“I remember in the game against Chelsea when [Manuel] Pellegrini took him off and he was annoyed for coming off, and you’re thinking: ‘you didn’t even do anything in the game, why are you annoyed to come off?’

“He’s been poor throughout the whole season. My biggest frustration with Moyes is he keeps bringing on the same players from the bench like the [Manuel] Lanzinis, the Andersons and they’ve been garbage this season, if I’m being honest.”

TIF Thoughts…

As can be judged from what The Athletic journalist had to say, it is clear that he has been frustrated with Anderson for the whole season and not just his recent performances.

However, the 27-year-old Brazilian has still been able to pick up a solid 7/10 average rating over 24 Premier League appearances this season, which has made him the Irons’ third-best performer (per WhoScored).
