Spurs fans on Twitter have flocked to a post from Harry Kane. 

The England captain shared an image of himself in training, writing: ‘Friday can’t come quick enough.’ Spurs restart their Premier League campaign at home to Manchester United on Friday evening, and it seems as if the 26-year-old is excited to have top-flight football back in England, after the enforced break due to the current viral outbreak.

The striker last played for Spurs in early January, when a hamstring injury versus Southampton ruled him out for the next couple of months. It had been suggested that the forward could miss the rest of the season and maybe even the Euros; which have subsequently been re-scheduled for summer 2021, but due to the season suspension, he will now be available for Spurs’ remaining nine top-flight fixtures, provided he can stay fit of course.

Mourinho confirmed last month that Kane, along with his other previously injured players, will all be fit for the Premier League’s resumption, so Lilywhites fans will no doubt be hoping to see their side improve on their current standing of eighth in the top flight. Friday’s game against Manchester United could prove to be hugely important in terms of the top-four race in the Premier League, so it will be interesting to see if Kane can help fire the Lilywhites to victory against Mourinho’s old side.
