Some Southampton fans have been buzzing at a video involving Ralph Hasenhuttl that caught their attention on social media.
The Saints Twitter account recently tweeted out this video. The video involved Hasenhuttl and him talking about his decision to sign a new deal at St. Mary’s.
Hasenhuttl revealed that he gets ‘energy’ from working at Southampton and said that it is an ‘honour’ for him to ply his trade at the club. The Austrian also said that it is the first time that he has agreed to commit to such a long-term project in his career because it is ‘special’ for him to manage the Saints.
This video from their manager left many Southampton fans raving. They flocked to this tweet and made their love for Hasenhuttl very clear.
Good news. At least that secures a decent pay out when Dortmund or Bayern come calling in a few years. In the interim, enjoy being on the Ralph Express!

One Saints fan talked about how Hasenhuttl has his work cut out and focused on the issues he needs to fix in the current team.
Glad you committed for longer period, but you will have your work cut out to address the issues, when new players brought in, keep getting picked when underperforming. This injustice is at the cost of developing damaged goods(players) who are unable to reach their full potential.

Every one of these Saints fans seem glad that Hasenhuttl has signed a new contract and his words show that he is delighted about it, too.
With the club currently only six points behind ninth-placed Arsenal and seven points ahead of 18th-placed Bournemouth (via WhoScored), they can hope that the team kicks on from here. They would certainly love a top-half finish this season.
