A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from NUFC 360, which has relayed news from The National.
The Abu Dhabi-based publication claims that Saudi Arabia has transferred $40bn (£32.1m) to PIF to boost economic growth and take advantage of investment opportunities that have arisen because of this ongoing pandemic.
This has drawn the attention of many Newcastle fans, who jokingly claim that this money will be their transfer fund once the proposed takeover is completed.

PIF reportedly intend to buy an 80% stake in Newcastle United with Amanda Staveley leading the consortium and having agreed a deal with Mike Ashley.
Do you think the Premier League are dragging this out on purpose?
Yes
No
Ashley has received a deposit, and the deal has been with the Premier League going through the required checks, but still, no decision has been reached.
The biggest threat to the takeover is the World Trade Organisation ruling that the Saudi government knew about the piracy station BeoutQ.
This is seen as a great threat to the takeover and is expected to delay the league’s decision.
However, it seems that this saga has taken its toll on many Toon fans, who have ripped into the Premier League for allowing this to drag on.
Premier league are showing there true colours corrupt and rotten to the core @premierleague give us our club back.

yet @premierleague is deliberately delaying to put off the PIF, when no other business has any issue with them

Other Newcastle fans, though, are excited by this update, and they feel that finally, this takeover will be announced.
Things you love to hear

Premier League chief executive Richard Masters was asked about the takeover process on Friday in an interview with Sky Sports, but he refused to give any timescale for when this could be completed.
This is all well and good, but it is cruel on Toon fans who just want to know what is happening with their club.
The news that PIF has been given $40bn suggests that they are ready to pay the rest of the fee to Ashley, but the Premier League have still not reached a decision, and until that happens, there is nothing PIF can do about it despite the fact they are allegedly growing frustrated.
