A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from NUFC 360, which has relayed news from the Shields Gazette on the proposed takeover of the Toon.

To kick things off, who is this man from the 2009/10 season?

The tweet also includes a link to an article that the Shields Gazette has produced on this ongoing takeover situation.

They believe that Premier League chief executive Richard Masters’ interview with Sky Sports on Friday was not really significant, and they think that the piracy issues were sorted out a while back and that there is nothing to suggest that the Premier League won’t approve the takeover.

Do you believe this report?

No, how would they know?

This has pleased these Toon fans, with one telling other Newcastle fans to get ready.

They also make some bold claims about what PIF and Saudi Arabia intend to do once their takeover of the Toon is complete.

The Shields Gazette believes that the Saudis intend to blow Qatar out of the water in their bid for the Premier League’s TV rights.

The Daily Mail did report a while ago that Saudi Arabia does intend to compete with BeIN Sports for the TV rights – so there is evidence to support the Shields Gazette’s claim.

However, it appears that some Newcastle fans are bored of this saga.

Unluckily for them, though, the Shields Gazette claims that the Premier League would have made their decision by the end of this month.

This is still a while away, and if their information is accurate, then this could go on for a bit longer.

Newcastle could be back playing Premier League games before this takeover is sorted, with the English top flight confirming they will restart the season on 17th June.

The Shields Gazette makes some interesting points in this article, but it seems that some Toon supporters are not convinced they know anything.

If this report is to be believed, the takeover may go through, but Newcastle fans might have to wait for that little bit longer before everything is finally confirmed.
