Many Leeds United supporters have been discussing Cardiff City boss Neil Harris’ recent comments. Talking to Wales Online (via Leeds Live), the 42-year-old suggested the league leaders could be his side’s first opponents when the Championship resumes.
The pair were scheduled to meet next before the competition was suspended in March, and although it would make sense for the teams to pick up where they left off, there has been no official communication regarding the details of the fixture list. However, it has been confirmed that the authorities hope for the action to restart on 20th June.
Harris spoke about the fact he wanted his team to “just have a right go” and highlighted how well he believed his side had played in the lead-up to the lockdown (as per Wales Online). Here is how a sample of the Elland Road faithful responded after Beren Cross shared his article via Twitter.
Hoof ball and long throw ins….that’s it.

Are you fearful of Cardiff City taking points off of Leeds United when the pair meet?
Yes
No
It’s clear from the above responses that Harris isn’t a popular figure amongst the Leeds United support and that is largely down to his history with the Whites’ bitter rivals Millwall, where he was in charge between March 2015 and October 2019. Others were confused by the comments in regards to Cardiff’s recent form, considering they are 13th in the Championship form table and have won just one of their last five league fixtures.
They had 5 points from 5 games how is that “fine” form

Another fan couldn’t believe the Bluebirds held Marcelo Bielsa’s side to a 3-3 draw at Elland Road back in December despite the hosts racing into a three-goal lead.
Still can’t believe we drew 3-3 back at ER ?

There has been a rivalry between Leeds and Cardiff for quite some time, and Harris’ involvement with the Welsh club adds fuel to the fire, so when these two teams do meet, whenever that is, in our view, you can expect fireworks.
