A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from NUFC 360, which has relayed news from the Daily Mirror regarding what the Newcastle squad have done about the proposed takeover.
It is claimed that a delegation of players led by Jamaal Lascelles have asked Mike Ashley what is happening with the Toon’s takeover as the players look to find out what is going on.
It is claimed that Ashley’s stance is that he has agreed the deal with the Amanda Staveley and is now just waiting for the authorities.
This has drawn the attention of these Toon fans who are praising Lascelles for taking action.
Do you blame Ashley for this?
No, there is nothing he can do
Yes, he is probably doing something
Rightly so, well done Jamaal?

The move by the Toon’s players follows a call by Steve Bruce asking for clarity from the Premier League as we approach July, and the deal was agreed with Ashley in April.
The deal has been held up by the issues over piracy, but still, this feels like it has been going on for a long time and the moves by Bruce and the Newcastle squad show that people are starting to get frustrated with this.
However, many Newcastle fans attach no blame to Ashley and feel that it is the PL who are the ones to blame.
Nowt much more Ashley can do and that’s probably be the first and only time we will say that

They’ve obviously had some contact otherwise they wouldn’t have someone come in on a wage from Motherwell. It’s all smoke and mirrors they are all aware of what is happening #NUFC #NUFCtakeover https://t.co/YwTmi7w4Qm

No sure what Ashley can do – completely out of his hands

Not a thing Ashley can do. All he will say is that it’s with the PL. Not one other thing can he do

As much as we dislike Ashley, he’s got no say in the matter. He wan’t his money ASAP as it probably just as annoyed as everyone else.

One fan, though, did slate Ashley.
So Ashley is willing to speak to a player but not Bruce the manager?Wow!

It was thought last week that the takeover was going to be approved because Saudi Arabia had announced a crackdown on piracy. Also, the UK government had apparently swayed the Premier League into accepting the deal.
However, nothing happened and the process has passed on into another week, but it is clear that from the Newcastle end of things that people indeed are beginning to get frustrated.
