Many Magpies fans have been responding to a recent update on the future of Valentino Lazaro. According to the Chronicle’s Lee Ryder, Newcastle United have agreed a deal with Inter to extend the player’s stay at St. James’ Park until the end of July and up to August 1.
Lazaro arrived in the North-East back in January and has made five appearances for Steve Bruce’s side to date, with his only goal coming in the FA Cup fifth-round victory over West Bromwich Albion back in March (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk).
Here is how a sample of the club’s supporters have responded to the news on Twitter.
So they can agree an extension for a player but can’t send an email about ticket situation? Rotten

Doesn’t this mean that business decisions are still happening within the club? Wouldn’t this sort of decision require Charnley to still be around, which means there is someone at the club who could approve ticketing refunds?#nufc

But can’t communicate with fans after stealing money from them… Nice one.

Are you pleased to hear Lazaro's stay has been extended?
Yes
No
The fans have recently grown frustrated by the lack of clear communication from the club in regards to the situation around ticketing, which has led to the Newcastle United Supporters Trust sending a letter directly to Lee Charnley, to which they are yet to receive a response (as per the Chronicle Live). It’s clear from the above responses that they are confused as to how decisions are seemingly being made on players’ futures but the club cannot provide a clear response to the fans in relation to their season tickets.
Despite this, others were more positive in regards to the news Lazaro will be staying on for the remainder of the campaign.
Good stuff, looked decent.

In our view, as with most things Newcastle-related at the moment, the news of the extension to the loan deal has been overshadowed by the proposed takeover and the supporters’ broken relationship with the club’s hierarchy. The Saudi-led consortium continues to await news on whether or not the Premier League will give them the green light to complete the purchase of the club from Mike Ashley.
