Some Sheffield Wednesday fans have been sharing their delight in response to a tweet that was recently posted by the club’s official Twitter account, which has announced that Osaze Urhoghide has received a contract extension. 

This tweet from the Owls’ official Twitter account includes a link to an article from the club’s official website, which explains that this extension will prolong Urhoghide’s stay at the club for a further 12 months. 

As per talkSPORT, the 19-year-old defender “won the hearts of football fans up and down the country” earlier this season after he produced an emotional post-match interview following his first-team debut for the Owls earlier this season in a game that saw Wednesday earn a 1-0 FA Cup victory over Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion. 

Now that Wednesday have announced that Urhoghide has received a contract extension via Twitter, plenty of Owls supporters have flocked to this post to share their reaction to this news.

A lot of the Owls fans who have been replying to this post have shared their excitement over this news, with some Wednesday supporters declaring that the 19-year-old has got “a great future”.
