Members of Liverpool’s American-based owners, Fenway Sports Group, will not be allowed to travel to Merseyside for the club’s potentially title-winning match against Everton later this month.

This comes after it was reported by The Times that under new quarantine rules, all ‘visitors travelling to the United Kingdom must isolate for 14 days’ as a result of the current global pandemic.

The report also added that should Manchester City lose to Arsenal in their upcoming clash, this would result in Liverpool being able to secure the title with a win over their Merseyside rivals.

Due to the pandemic, all professional football across the country, including the Premier League was put on a temporary suspension back in March.

Now that the Premier League has revealed that the season will resume again later this month with a list of the opening round of fixtures, this has started to get things back on track for the season end in a suitable fashion.

However, it has now been reported that should Liverpool manage to win the title with a win against Carlo Ancelotti’s team, club owner John Henry, chairman Tom Werner and president Mike Gordon would not be present to see their team win the title.
