To kick off this quiz on the goings-on with the Toffees last week, which brand did the club announce would be their new kit maker in mid-week?

Jones was asked, amongst other things, what he thought Keane would be looking to do in the remaining nine games of the season for the Toffees.

This is what he had to say in full:

“Michael Keane will be looking at these next few games as really crucial for him, and, without wanting one of his teammates to get injured, this has almost presented itself [as] the perfect opportunity for him to try and prove himself in this sort of manner.

“I think whatever the game is, whether it’s an intra-squad game or whether it was against another team, the fact that he has managed to bag himself two goals, that will give him that extra little boost of confidence going into what is going to be a really tough game for every player on the pitch on Sunday.”

It seems as if Jones believes Keane can make an impression in the next few matches, and he might be required to fill in by Carlo Ancelotti with Yerry Mina ruled out of the Premier League’s restart this weekend.

TIF Thoughts…

The former Burnley defender recently scored two goals in an intra-squad friendly, and it looks as if Mina’s injury could give him a chance to stake a claim as a regular in the heart of the Toffees’ defence.

The 27-year-old has made 22 Premier League appearances this season, but only six since Ancelotti arrived at Goodison Park.

It is fair to say that Jones believes these goals will give him a confidence boost as the Toffees prepare to face Liverpool on Sunday in their first match since March.
