Aston Villa journalist Neil Dunworth has made a big claim on Villa Park trio Jack Grealish, John McGinn and Tyrone Mings.
This comes after Dunworth recently made an appearance on Holtecast, a Villa-based podcast looking ahead to their upcoming Premier League match against Sheffield United.
Dunworth claimed that the three Villa players could play for any team in the league.
He said: “At the start of the year, everybody would talk about Jack Grealish and people don’t do an awful lot of homework on Villa and the basis of players that they would have here. Every Villa fan would be quietly confident that John McGinn is going to outperform more or less anybody on our team.”
Dunworth continued to talk up the returning McGinn: “He’s one of our two players that could do that, maybe three players if you include Tyrone Mings [that] could play for any team in the league.”

This is certainly big praise for these three Villa players.
The trio certainly have been impressive for the club this season, with all three being listed among the team’s top 10 highest-rated performers in the Premier League so far this season, with Grealish and McGinn at the top of the list (per WhoScored).

Dunworth certainly has a lot of confidence in the Villa trio by claiming they could play for any club in the Premier League.
The hope for Dunworth and other Villa fans now would be that Grealish, McGinn and Mings can repay the faith shown in them and help the club avoid relegation back to the Championship this season.
Wednesday’s clash with Sheffield United presents the opportunity for Villa to get their remaining set of fixtures off to a good start and hopefully use that momentum to win more games to avoid the drop.
