Some Sheffield Wednesday fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Owls goalkeeper Keiren Westwood in which the 35-year-old shares a compilation video featuring some of his best saves.

Westwood also states that he is “reminiscing” in this tweet which has drawn a largely positive reaction from many of the Owls fans who have been responding to it.

To kick off this quiz on 2019/20 Championship goalkeepers, can you name which goalkeeper has kept the highest number of clean sheets in the Championship this season?

Some of the Wednesday supporters who have been replying to Westwood’s tweet have also taken this opportunity to tag Owls manager Garry Monk in the footage and call for him to pay more attention to the goalkeeper. This may be due to the fact that Westwood hasn’t featured in a Championship game for the Owls since the 23rd of November.

Westwood has only started between the sticks in 14 of the Owls’ 37 Championship games this season, whilst 24-year-old goalkeeper Cameron Dawson has started 23 of Wednesday’s 37 league games this term.

However, as per WhoScored, 35-year-old Westwood has earned a higher average overall rating than Dawson for his Championship performances during the 2019/20 campaign.

Some Wednesday supporters have been voicing their opinion that the former Republic of Ireland international should still be the Owls’ number one in response to this compilation footage, with one Wednesday fan stating that this footage “makes (them) angry”.

Should Keiren Westwood be Sheffield Wednesday's first-choice goalkeeper?

As per Transfermarkt, Westwood has made 179 appearances for Wednesday during his career, keeping 67 clean sheets and conceding 172 goals for the club since moving to Hillsborough from Sunderland on a free transfer back in July 2014.

Owls fans may be more used to seeing Westwood between the sticks than 24-year-old Dawson and he may have earned the trust of Wednesday fans during his time at the club. With that in mind, it may not come as a big surprise that these Wednesday supporters would like to see him remain as the club’s number one.
