Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest post from Villa defender Tyrone Mings.

This comes after the Englishman shared a post on his official Twitter page commemorating and celebrating the one-year anniversary of Villa’s Championship play-off final victory against Derby County last season.

Who scored Villa's goal in their 1-0 win against Stoke City on the opening day of the 2014/15 Premier League season?

In his post, Mings included three images from the celebrations over the win at Wembley Stadium including himself holding the trophy aloft.

He captioned his post claiming that this victory was “one of the best days” of his life before adding that it was a “life-changing experience” with memories that will “live forever.”

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans, who were delighted with this latest post from Mings.

Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to Mings’ post:

Dean Smith’s side beat Frank Lampard’s Derby County by a scoreline of 2-1 thanks to goals from John McGinn and Anwar El Ghazi to earn their place back in the Premier League (per BBC Sport).

One of the images included in Mings’ post was of himself and former Villa loanee Axel Tuanzebe holding the play-off final trophy together. The inclusion of this image then led to one Villa fan asking for Mings to get back in contact with the Manchester United man and persuade him to return to Villa Park.

It’s great to see Mings looking back at Villa’s play-off final victory last year with such admiration and love. The response to his post from these Villa fans just goes to show how much they adore the defender and what he has done for the club since he arrived there.
