Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays the latest news on Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey.
According to a recent post on Twitter by Bild Sport’s head of football Christian Falk, Bayer Leverkusen would be willing to accept an offer of €50 million (£44.9 million) for Bailey, with Manchester City reportedly being interested in the winger.
In reaction to Falk’s claims, which were relayed on Twitter by both Man City Xtra and City Chief, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with some suggesting that the German club’s price tag for the 22-year-old is far too high.
€50m ??? We have a better player in the academy who's going to cost nothing

So far this season, Bailey has featured in 17 Bundesliga fixtures for Leverkusen, scoring five goals and providing one assist, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.69.
The Jamaica international has also made three appearances in the Europa League this term, all of which were from the bench, in which he has scored one goal, averaging a match rating of 6.44.
Would you like to see City sign Leon Bailey as a potential Leroy Sane replacement?
Yes
No
It is uncertain whether or not these rather underwhelming performances have influenced the following City fans in their calls for the club to avoid making a move for the winger, but it would appear that many share the same opinion on the potential transfer of the player.
No????????????????

However, in stark contrast to these City fans, others have called for their club to do everything they can to sign the 22-year-old.

Considering Bailey’s performances so far this season, combined with the fact that he is currently valued at £26.55 million (as per Transfermarkt), if Falk is to be believed in his claims that Leverkusen would demand €50 million (£44.9million) for the winger, it would appear that this price is slightly steep.
