Some Sheffield Wednesday fans have flocked to a tweet that was posted by ex-Owls midfielder Jose Semedo which shares a link to an article that was recently published by Yorkshire Live featuring some comments from the Portuguese midfielder who has opened up about his departure from Hillsborough.
Semedo left Sheffield Wednesday back in the summer of 2017 when the club didn’t opt to renew his contract and the 35-year-old recently told Yorkshire Live that he “was very disappointed” with how his departure from the club transpired, going on to explain that he “didn’t understand” why a new contract offer never came.
He also expresses his regret at not getting the chance to say “see you later” to the fans and the ex-Owls man also made a point of thanking Wednesday fans in his recent tweet sharing this article.

This article from Yorkshire Live states that Semedo was a “fan favourite” during his time at Hillsborough. With that in mind, it may be understandable why some Owls fans may be disappointed by how their club handled his departure back in 2017.
