Fans of Rangers have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Jordan Campbell shares an article regarding Brandon Barker.
Campbell’s article in The Athletic discusses the progression of the 23-year-old left winger, who, six years ago, was named Manchester City’s academy player of the year, but has started just four games for Rangers since joining last summer.
In reaction to the article, which was shared by Campbell on Twitter, fans of Rangers have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that Barker is one of the worst players they have seen at Ibrox.
Do you think Brandon Barker should be moved on this summer?
Yes
No
Speak to anyone who has coached or played with Brandon Barker and they will rave about his pace and technique.
But the winger, who was once rated as a top prospect at Man City, is now 23 and drifting at Rangers.
How can they rekindle that talent? https://t.co/msThnO2vPB

He’s a spfl player but not for Rangers

I’m sorry to say it but one of the worst players I’ve seen at Ibrox for a while. Not worked just move him on.

The player witnessed at Rangers is unrecognisable from the one we saw at Hibs. His speciality has been running into defenders. Confidence just not there at app and teams defend so deep any pace he has hasn’t even been shown.

haven’t seen either of those at Rangers and he looks like the shirt is too heavy for him

Unless they can buy the guy guts and bottle, I doubt any amount of coaching will help him.
Was genuinely pleased we had signed him, as he has talent, but unfortunately simply wasn’t up to the job

Won’t be at Ibrox next season

He’s absolute garbage Jordan. Pace and alleged technique is not enough to be a Rangers player and yet we have still to see either of those qualities in a Rangers jersey from him. A player who wouldn’t look out if place in McCoists 4th division team. Needs to go asap. Awful player

What do we think?
As is clear from their comments, many of the Rangers fans appear to believe that Barker simply does not have what it takes to play in a side towards the top end of the Scottish Premiership table, and, having played a total of just 204 minutes over six appearances in the league this season, it would seem that Steven Gerrard shares their opinion.
Campbell ends his article by suggesting that Barker’s lack of games have resulted in the 23-year-old being unable to develop his confidence and adapt his game, however, it would appear that his performances when he has been given an opportunity to impress have not convinced Gerrard that Barker deserves a start.
As such, some of the Rangers fans who have called for Barker to be moved on could well get their wish before too long.
