Rangers-focused Twitter account @4ladshadadream recently posted a tweet sharing a positive view on Rangers’ current financial situation, which has caught the attention of some Gers supporters.
This tweet shares a contrary view on Rangers’ current financial situation to former SPL chief executive Roger Mitchell, who recently took to Twitter to declare that he thinks the Gers “aren’t going to make it” through the current viral outbreak. Mitchell also claimed that the club had already been “in dire financial straits” prior to the postponement of the professional game in Scotland.
Many of the Gers fans who have been responding to this tweet have been sharing their agreement with the post. One Rangers fan even declared that they are “with this board 100%” in response to this tweet. Read the reactions of some Gers fans to this post in the tweets below.

Rangers are debt free, own all our assets, have strong financial backing from an executive board
We are on the cusp of commercial investment, fantastic early ST sales & a share issue on the way
Ignore the nonsense, the irrelevant and the noise (& poor Harry Potter lookalikes)

My guess is they know like all clubs Rangers are reliant on fans putting money in right now and by putting out this narrative we’re going under they believe it could unsettle fans who haven’t yet renewed and who may then decide against it

What do we think?
As explained by the BBC, Rangers have been critical of the SPFL’s resolution to end the 2019/20 season and the club have been pushing for “an independent investigation of the SPFL”. As per @ScotlandSky, former SPL chief executive Mitchell recently defended the SPFL board, amid such calls from the likes of Rangers.
Considering that he has taken an opposing view to Rangers regarding the SPFL board, as well as the fact that he recently spoke negatively about the financial situation at the club, it may not be too surprising that some Rangers fans have reacted positively to this tweet which disputes Mitchell’s claims.
