Some Rangers fans have flocked to a tweet discussing their travelling support for the 2008 UEFA Cup Final which was held in Manchester.
This tweet was posted by @SeafarerMichael and it shares some footage of Gers fans taking to the streets and celebrating their participation in that season’s UEFA Cup Final.
A report on this fixture which was recently published by the BBC states that “an estimated 100,000 Rangers fans” travelled to Manchester for this event and while Gers ultimately failed to win that season’s UEFA Cup Final, suffering a 2-0 defeat to Zenit St. Petersburg on the night, some of the club’s fans appear to be proud of their team’s support, regardless of the result.

What do we think?
It may be fair to say that Rangers brought a lot of travelling fans to this UEFA Cup Final and with that in mind, it might be understandable why these Gers supporters look back fondly on what could be seen as a sign of the passion and loyalty from the club’s fans.
