Tottenham Hotspur-focused Twitter account @DailyHotspur recently posted a tweet sharing the alleged news that a clash between their club and Manchester United “has been mentioned” as the game which could potentially kick off the Premier League’s return in June. 

A recent report from The Daily Mail, which is cited by @DailyHotspur as the original source of this alleged news, has claimed that the opening game of the planned Premier League restart is set to take place on either 12 June or 19 June at present, with this clash between Spurs and the Red Devils being talked about as the game that could kick off the league’s restart. 

Some Spurs fans have responded positively to @DailyHotspur’s tweet sharing this alleged news, with some sharing that they would expect Tanguy Ndombele to deliver a big performance in this game.

It may be fair to say that life has been difficult for many people of late as a result of the current viral outbreak. Considering that professional football has officially been postponed in England since 13 March, it may be understandable why some Spurs fans have reacted with excitement to this news that their club could kick off the return of Premier League football.
