Many Middlesbrough fans have been responding to Mikkel Beck’s Twitter post in which he announced the club’s former Brazilian star Juninho will take part in a charity match being organised by the Dane.
The former Boro man wants to put the match on in order to support the victims of the recent viral outbreak and was recently given the go-ahead by the club (as per Teesside Live). Beck represented the club between July 1996 and April 1999 (via Transfermarkt.co.uk) and was a Danish international, making 20 appearances for his national team.
We can assume by his post, that Beck, now 46, was very excited to announce the news Juninho is willing to take part. This is how that has gone down with the Boro faithful.
Mikkel doing better transfer business for his charity match than Bauser ever has for the first team ??

Right that’s it I’m digging out my old shirts from the loft and am going to make sure I am at this game early and stay late until I get them all signed! ?? #UTB

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that these fans cannot wait to see some of their former heroes in action and have huge respect for Beck’s efforts. Juninho arrived on Teesside from Sao Paulo in October 1995 (via Transfermarkt.co.uk) and as you can tell from the above, he remains a popular figure with the Boro fanbase.
