Some Celtic fans have been discussing a statement that was put out by a Twitter user that was impersonating as the official Celtic Twitter account.

Celtic fan Rissy67 recently posted an update which appeared to be from the official club account to the untrained eye – but as you can see, copying Celtic’s profile picture clearly fooled and amused plenty – with the post receiving over 6,000 likes.

The post then went on to share a rather unprofessional-looking ‘statement’, mocking the recent situation surrounding the SPFL and how Scottish clubs had recently voted against having another investigation into the resolution that took place last month.

On seeing this tweet, many Celtic fans reacted, with many unable to help but laugh at it.

Would you laud the SPFL for handling this situation?

Celtic’s Old Firm rivals Rangers had accused the SPFL of bullying in last month’s vote. The Gers called for an independent investigation into the voting process, but the SPFL EGM saw a majority of clubs vote against an investigation taking place.

What do we think?

This act from the Celtic fan seems like a bit of harmless fun to mock how their Rangers were unsuccessful with their calls for a vote. Despite football being suspended, a post like this is bound to cheer Celtic fans up.
