Some Celtic fans have slammed Gareth McAuley after a post involving the former defender emerged on Twitter.
A Celtic-related page called Gastro Celtic recently posted some images on Twitter. The images carried McAuley’s opinion about Celtic in an article that he wrote for the Belfast Telegraph. McAuley said that he feels ‘sorry’ for Celtic players and their recent title win will always be ‘tainted’ and ‘hollow’.
When Gastro Celtic posted images of this article, many Celtic fans flocked to the post. They mocked McAuley and made their negative opinion clear.
Think he won relegation a good few times in his “ illustrious “ career

Are McAuley's comments irrelevant?

The headline of McAuley’s article talked about why he ‘wouldn’t be celebrating’ if he were a Celtic player. The piece went onto say that all the ‘dedicated’ and ‘gutsy’ performances that the Celtic players came up with this season will be ‘forgotten’.
What do we think?
These Celtic fans don’t seem too pleased by what McAuley has to say. That could be because he had a spell with Rangers towards the end of his career.
Considering how the Hoops were 13 points clear at the top of the table before the season was cancelled shows that they probably did deserve to win the title.
