Some Celtic fans have left fuming after a post about former player Tony Cascarino emerged on Twitter.
Celtic fan St. Anthony recently posted about Cascarino on Twitter. The post carried an image of the club’s former striker and called him a ‘lump of wood’ and went onto refer to him as a ‘wretched character’.
Many Celtic fans flocked to this tweet and made their anger for Cascarino very clear.
Tony Cannyscoreo an absolute donkey.

Cascarino joined Celtic from Aston Villa in 1991, but he didn’t stay at Parkhead for too long, as he left in February 1992 to join Chelsea (via Transfermarkt).
What do we think?
Celtic fans clearly aren’t too pleased about how Cascarino’s time at Parkhead turned out. CelticWiki has labelled Cascarino as being ‘among the worst pound-for-pound signings in Celtic’s history’. They also claimed that he had fallen out with then-Celtic manager Liam Brady, who was very ‘frustrated’ with Cascarino’s performances at that point.
This doesn’t paint a positive picture of Cascarino. Keeping that in mind, one can see why he isn’t remembered fondly by the Parkhead faithful even today.
