Some Celtic fans have been raving at the latest update about the global reputation of Celtic Park that emerged on social media recently.
The Scottish Sun recently shared an update, saying that Celtic’s home had been voted as one of the top 25 stadiums in the world. The rankings are derived from a vote being run by Spanish outlet Marca on their website, with Parkhead placing 19th at the time of writing.
The tweet originally claimed Celtic Park was Scotland’s only representative, though Ibrox has since appeared in the top 25, albeit behind the Hoops’ home by almost 1,000 votes as of Thursday afternoon.
On seeing the tweet that was sent out by The Scottish Sun on Wednesday, many Celtic fans were raving. They made their delight very clear while some mocked the other stadiums and teams.
Biggest club most successful club and now the best stadium. We have no equal in this country ?

What do we think?
While the ranking is more of a vote from various fans and is still subject to change (contrary to The Scottish Sun’s summary), ranking in the top 25 is certainly an achievement to be proud of for Celtic.
Tottenham’s new stadium is ‘the most expensive’ in the game today and the fact that the Hoops’ Parkhead ranks above Spurs’ stadium in the updated Marca list is a fine achievement in itself. Hoops fans should be proud of that and the comments suggest that they rightly are proud of their stadium’s standing in world football.
