Liverpool fans on Twitter have been discussing Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @TheImmortalKop shared a post on their page claiming that Sane is City’s best winger and that if they don’t replace him with Kylian Mbappe then the 2020/21 season will belong to Liverpool.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to share their thoughts on the German.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:
If Sane leaves City and they don’t replace him with someone like Mbappe then 2020/21 is in the bag for us, genuinely their best winger

If he played more this season, they wouldn’t be so far behind. My opinion

Would you take Leroy Sane at Liverpool?
Yes
No
The winger first signed to the Manchester club back in 2016 from German club Schalke. Since then, Sane has gone on to make 134 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side in which he has scored 39 goals and provided 45 assists (per Transfermarkt). Now that this Liverpool page has shared their thoughts on the 24-year-old £72 million-rated man, this opened the door for lots of other Liverpool fans to do the same.
Quality player always scores against Liverpool as well ??

When Sane got injured in the community shield I said to myself that City’s title hopes were out the window and he was linked to Bayern I was praying for him to join them

What do we think?
It seems these Liverpool fans think very highly of Sane. Looking back at his goals and assists record for the Manchester club since his arrival, it’s easy to see why they would think that.
