After a board meeting on Monday, Celtic were handed the Premiership title while Hearts were confirmed to have been relegated as the league season in Scotland was officially ended (via BBC Sport).
What do we think?
Griffiths has had a significant role to play in helping the club win the title. The Scot played 31 times in all competitions and directly contributed to 15 goals. In the Premiership, Griffiths scored nine goals and assisted four times. In 2020 alone, Griffiths scored league seven goals, including a hat-trick against St. Mirren (via Transfermarkt).
That is a reflection of why Celtic fans are lauding Griffiths, who certainly deserves credit for his performances.
