Some Celtic fans have been raving at the latest club update that emerged on Twitter recently.
The Celtic Twitter account recently posted a statement which ‘welcomes’ the recent vote by SPFL clubs at Tuesday’s EGM. The post also carried a link to the statement on the club’s official website.
This statement came after a majority of clubs had voted against a possible independent investigation into how the initial SPFL vote was conducted. 27 clubs had voted against this potential investigation being carried out.
Many Celtic fans flocked to this tweet from the club. They made their delight clear.
Dignity as usual from Scotlands biggest and most successful football club.

The statement on the official website said that the club are ‘satisfied’ that the SPFL is innocent relating to accusations of wrongdoing ahead of the previous resolution put to Scottish league clubs. The statement urged other clubs to ‘look to the future’ and claimed that there are ‘grave’ and ‘unprecedented’ threats standing in front of Scottish football. The club also said that other clubs should look to invest their energies into the return of the game in the 2020/21 campaign.
What do we think?
Celtic fans clearly loved the club’s take on how the SPFL situation has panned out. They can certainly look forward to what decision is made about the Premiership season, with the lower leagues in Scotland already suspended.
