Liverpool fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest comments made by former Northern Ireland manager Lawrie Sanchez.
This comes after Liverpool-focused Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page relaying Sanchez’s comments on the fate of the Premier League season (via the Irish Independent).
Sanchez claimed that “you can declare Liverpool as champions, but you would have to have them as champions with an asterisk forever”.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to have their say in response to Sanchez’s comments.

If the season isn’t continued and ended in the normal fashion, then Jurgen Klopp’s Reds would likely be awarded the title as they currently occupy the top spot of the Premier League table. This is exactly what happened in France where Paris Saint-Germain crowned league champions. Now that Sanchez’s comments have been doing the rounds on Twitter, this sparked a big reaction from Liverpool fans.
