Some Celtic fans have been fuming at the latest tweet that the Daily Record recently relayed on social media.
The Daily Record’s tweet carried a link to an article on their website recently written by journalist Jamie Currie. The article talked about how Celtic were ‘unwilling’ to do what a ‘real big club’ like Juventus could do by potentially refusing to win the title this season despite being at the top of their own league. The article said that the Hoops are the only club in Scotland to have won a title that they ‘didn’t actually win’.
When the tweet involving this article was shared by the Daily Record, many Celtic fans flocked to it. They made their anger about it very clear. Some mocked the article.

Should Celtic have refused the Premiership title like Juventus can?

What do we think?
Celtic fans don’t seem too pleased by what the article says. The aforementioned passage from the article does suggest that it doesn’t talk about the Parkhead club in a positive light. Considering how the Hoops were 13 points clear at top of the table, they deserved to win the Premiership title.
