Some Celtic fans have been discussing the latest SPFL update that emerged on social media recently.
Superscoreboard recently relayed the latest update about SPFL reconstruction. The tweet carried a press release from the SPFL and confirmed that they have received Ann Budge’s plans for league reconstruction. The statement said that decisions about this will be taken in a democratic process and these plans will be discussed with the clubs from Monday onwards.
This caught the attention of many Celtic fans. They flocked to this and made their negative opinions about this known. Many of them think that this is being done to favour Hearts.
So if 2 teams in the premier league say no it’s a non starter then. Is this correct?

Should Celtic support the SPFL reconstruction?
Never
We should support it
Don’t deserve too stay up .

I don’t think this will pass, yet more time wasted trying to keep a small amount of clubs happy. Ann Budge wouldn’t be doing this if hearts weren’t bottom of the league!

Just delaying the inevitable. Clubs have already said they want permanent NOT temporary. This sham proposal which is really geared just to saving hearts from relegation is doomed to fail. #HotAir

Budge had previously expressed her disappointment at how last month’s SPFL vote had ended all the leagues below the Premiership. She had done the same after her initial resolution for league reconstruction didn’t get enough support from clubs.
Last week, it was confirmed that Hearts were relegated from the Premiership, while Celtic were handed the title. Budge’s club was at the bottom of the league before football in Scotland was suspended back in March and remained there on a points-per-game basis.
Any word on the spfl issuing charges of bringing the game into disrepute against a certain club ….. That’s about 3 wks now

The league reconstruction has been proposed for the next two seasons. Budge has proposed a 14-14-14 format, but that may not help Celtic in winning the title next season as there will be more teams to compete against. It may also hinder the club’s chances of winning a historic 10th Premiership title in a row. So it is understandable why Celtic fans aren’t happy with this proposal.
