A group of Celtic supporters have been reacting to the recent comments made by Neil Lennon’s assistant John Kennedy, who has claimed those questioning the validity of the club’s latest title win “are the people you expect to say it”. The quotes were reported by the Daily Record and some of them were shared on Twitter via @celticbible – and appear to have gone down extremely well with the Parkhead faithful.

The Hoops were crowned champions of Scotland for the ninth consecutive time earlier this month after a decision was made to end the current season as a result of the recent global pandemic. Despite Lennon’s side being 13 points clear at the top at the time of the league’s suspension, some don’t agree with the decision and it is to those people Kennedy’s comments are aimed at.

These fans clearly feel Kennedy’s comments are both ‘accurate’ and ‘articulate’ enough to silence those who have disputed whether or not the decision taken by the authorities was the right one, as praise for the 36-year-old kept coming.

We believe the former player was a popular figure already, but there is no doubt that this interview will have earned him plenty more respect from those who follow the Glasgow-based club.
