Spurs fans on Twitter have been discussing former striker Helder Postiga.
A Spursy Podcast asked for the opinions of fans on the Portuguese striker, which has attracted the attention of plenty of Lilywhites supporters, many of whom were quick to slate the now 37-year-old. Spurs signed the forward from Porto in 2003 but he returned to the Liga NOS side just a year later (per Transfermarkt).
In 23 appearances for the Lilywhites, Postiga contributed just two goals, so it is perhaps no surprise that he left after just one year in the Premier League.
Was Postiga a flop at Spurs?
Yes
No

Had such high hopes for him, he was bad

Last player we held a press conference for wasn’t he? Remember staying home from work to watch it. All the euro news before had him down as one of the young talents of the decade. And then Scores that goal against England. Hilarious signing

Simply not suited to our league, moved too young probably, he got bullied. Clearly had ability just the wrong move at the wrong time.

So many people saying he was a brilliant signing at the time, basically another Jansen

These Spurs fans clearly don’t hold Postiga’s time with the North London club in high regard.
What do we think?
Although Postiga wasn’t given much time to settle in the Premier League, two goals in 23 appearances for a striker was never going to endear him to a lot of fans.
