Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest reported financial news, which suggests that Jose Mourinho could have a transfer budget of £25 million this summer.
According to ESPN (via Ricky Sacks), the Portuguese manager could have just £25 million to work with this summer, however, those funds could be diverted elsewhere if necessary.
Considering it was suggested elsewhere earlier this week that the club would be reliant on free transfers and swap deals this summer, this looks like better news for Spurs fans who will still be hopeful of some signings this summer, despite the financial implications of the current viral outbreak.
Spurs have endured a disappointing season in all competitions as they currently sit eighth in the Premier League, whilst March saw them get knocked out of both the FA Cup and the Champions League, so they are arguably in need of a squad overhaul in the summer. However, it is difficult to see Mourinho being able to bring in many of the players he may feel he needs with a reported budget of just £25 million.
Do you think Spurs will spend much this summer?

I don’t think Mourinho will be around long. He won’t be used to a budget like this, if it’s true

Players values will drop massively after this is all over. So 25m could get you a lot more than before.

Most of these Spurs fans seem disappointed with the news, although some tried to look on the bright side.
What do we think?
It is difficult to know the financial state of any team at this point, not just Tottenham, as the viral outbreak will have a serious impact on the financial side of football.
