Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to some footage of former striker Dimitar Berbatov answering a question about his time at the North London club on Instagram.

The Spurs Web shared some footage and some quotes from the Bulgarian, which were taken from an Instagram Q&A session at the weekend after one Lilywhites fan asked about his fondest memories from his time at the club. He replied, saying:

“Winning the cup in 2008, beating Chelsea at Wembley, I scored in that game. My first trophy in England, it was a special moment. Every game for Spurs was special for me. I loved it! I have so much respect and gratitude for the team.”

Spurs signed Eriksen in 2013 but from which team?

The striker joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in 2006 before joining Manchester United just two years later (per Transfermarkt). During his time with the Lilywhites, the 39-year-old contributed 46 goals and 24 assists in 102 appearances.

Is Berbatov a snake for leaving Spurs?

Reaction from Spurs fans to the quotes from Berbatov can be seen in the tweets below.

These Spurs fans don’t seem too happy with the quotes from Berbatov considering he left Spurs to join Manchester United, while he has been quoted as saying that Harry Kane should follow in his footsteps in recent times.

What do we think?

Manchester United were arguably in their prime when Berbatov joined them in 2008 (having just won the Champions League), so you can’t really blame the Bulgarian for wanting to join them. However, his previous comments on Kane certainly haven’t impressed a lot of Spurs fans by the looks of things.
