Liverpool have made enquiries regarding RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. The Italian broadcaster made the claim live on Sky Sports Italia (as per passioneinter.com). However, it’s understood no deal has been agreed.
Jurgen Klopp’s side already boast a brilliant front three in Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, who have scored 49 goals between them in all competitions this season (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk) and Di Marzio makes the point that ‘it is difficult for Werner to find accommodation in the attack of the Reds; at the moment they need nothing‘.
Here is how some of the club’s supporters have responded to the update.

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that most of these Liverpool fans were not surprised to learn the club have made enquiries regarding a potential transfer for the £57.6m-rated Werner. Others have grown impatient by what they believe to be a lack of movement in regards to this transfer. Despite Di Marzio’s comments, in our view, it is difficult to argue a striker who has scored 21 goals and provided seven assists in 25 Bundesliga appearances this season wouldn’t improve an already talented squad.
