A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from NUFC 360, which includes a link to a story from Football Espana about Gareth Bale.
They then have a link to a report in the Daily Star, which claims that Tom Allnutt from AFP put out a tweet stating that if Newcastle’s proposed takeover goes through, Bale is not interested in moving to St. James’ Park.
This has pleased these Toon fans who didn’t seem to want the Welshman anyway.
Are you happy about this?
Yes, didn't want him anyway
No, could have been a good signing
Gareth Bale has no interest in moving to #nufc this summer https://t.co/CwCNLON6RM

The lad barely seems to have much interest in football so it’s probably no real loss.

What do we think?
This new claim on Bale seems just to confirm what George Caulkin said about the former Tottenham Hotspur man in the latest Pod On The Tyne. (30:34)
The Athletic reporter stated that Newcastle would not be signing Bale even if the takeover goes through. (30:34)
Newcastle are currently in the middle of a proposed takeover that is currently with the Premier League, and according to Paul Smith, the league are ‘very close’ to signing off on the deal.
However, even if that happens, it looks like Bale will not be moving to St James’ Park.
