A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a tweet from NUFC 360, which has relayed quotes made by Guillem Balague on who could be the Toon’s next manager if the proposed takeover happens. (18:24)
Balague believes that Mauricio Pochettino, Rafael Benitez, Massimiliano Allegri and Julian Nagelsmann are the top four candidates to replace Steve Bruce if the takeover goes through. (18:24)
He does, however, believe that it is Pochettino, who is the number one target. (18:24)
This has drawn a big reaction from these Newcastle fans.
If the takeover goes through who would you want as manager?
Benitez
Pochettino
Allegri
Nagelsmann
“What I know for sure that Pochettino, Rafa Benitez, Nagelsmann and Allegri are the four names on the table for Newcastle. They want one of those four.” #nufc [Guillem Balague] https://t.co/wE49Y2alnD

What do we think?
A report in Le10 Sport claimed that Pochettino was very close to joining Newcastle and Sky Sports did say that the former Tottenham Hotspur boss was the number one target for the Toon.
So, that is now three sources supporting Pochettino as the number one target to replace Steve Bruce.
However, all of this is pointless until the takeover is officially announced with the deal currently with the Premier League after a deposit was paid to Mike Ashley.
A decision is not expected till next week, so maybe after that, the Toon can start thinking about new managers.
