Some Leicester City fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Jamie Vardy in which the 33-year-old striker shares a picture of himself kissing the Premier League trophy.
Vardy posted this tweet on the seventh of May, which was the fourth anniversary of the day that he and Leicester City lifted the Premier League trophy back in 2016.
Many of the Foxes fans who have been responding to this tweet have been sharing some positivity for both Vardy and their Premier League title win back in the 2015/16 campaign. One Leicester City supporter even took this opportunity to declare that Vardy is “by far the best player to ever wear (their) club’s shirt”.

Since I’ve been watching Leicester all our top players always leave. Lennon, Heskey, Kante, Mahrez, Maguire… but our greatest ever player chose to stay. Seriously thank you. By far the best player to ever wear our clubs shirt.

What do we think?
It may be fair to say that Vardy, who is currently the Premier League’s top goalscorer for the 2019/20 season, played a significant role in Leicester City’s title-winning campaign. The forward scored 24 goals and provided eight assists in his 36 Premier League appearances that season, meaning that he made the highest number of goal contributions in England’s top-flight that term.
With that in mind, it may be understandable why these Foxes fans seem to hold the striker in such high regard.
