Some Newcastle United fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Magpies-focused Twitter account @ChronicleNUFC, which shares the alleged news that Danny Rose “could be available for just £5m this summer”.
This news originally surfaced via a report from Football Insider, who have claimed that Spurs have dropped their asking price for Rose from £20m to £5m, with the club’s hierarchy allegedly seeing “no way back” for the 29-year-old at Tottenham.
Many Toon fans have been sharing some negative opinions about Rose in response to this news, with one Newcastle supporter declaring that they “wouldn’t give £5” for the left-back.
Rose joined Newcastle United on loan from Tottenham Hotspur this past January, making six appearances for the Toon in all competitions so far. However, it appears as though the 29-year-old has failed to impress plenty of Newcastle fans with his performances at St. James’ Park this season, judging by the responses of some Toon supporters to @ChronicleNUFC’s recent post.

Would you sign Danny Rose for £5m?YES, HE'S WORTH THATNO, HE'S NOT WORTH IT |
If the takeover happens i would look elsewhere I’ve not been impressed by him i don’t think by premier league standards he looks fit or anywhere near the level he has been at. I would go for someone like Tagliafico

He thinks he’s bigger than us.

What do we think?
Rose has featured in five Premier League games for Newcastle United thus far. The left-back has earned an average overall rating of 6.29 from his five league appearances for the Magpies, as per WhoScored.com.
22 Newcastle players have earned a higher average overall rating than that in the Premier League this term according to the website. With that in mind, it may not come as a big surprise that many Newcastle fans don’t appear to be excited by this news regarding Rose.
